The ADWG provides details on the framework for Management of Drinking Water Quality (the Framework), a preventive management approach that encompasses all steps in water production from catchment to consumer, and aims to assure safe, good quality drinking water. The ADWG is used by state and territory health departments, local health authorities and water utilities.

The ADWG undergo a rolling revision to ensure they represent the latest scientific evidence on good quality drinking water. As sections of the Guidelines are revised, the Table of Updates will be updated to provide the latest information.

The ultraviolet germicidal system has become an exceptionally popular water disinfection alternative. Modern technology is incorporated to create the most natural purification. Ultraviolet lamps produce germicidal short wave radiation, which eradicates bacteria, viruses and other kinds of microbiological contamination present in all water supplies.

Advantages:

Ultraviolet water sterilisers incorporate natural Ultraviolet light, which allows the highest UV output and automatically eradicates all micro-organisms.

Only UV light is used to treat the water, no dangerous Chemicals, no danger of overdosing, no bad taste, odour or corrosion, continuous disinfection, high output and low power consumption.

Easy to install, low maintenance. Processed water is ready for use. Can be installed alone or connected with other filtration or RO systems.

Features:

Visual indicator and alarm for lamp failure.

Hour meters on most commercial units

30000mic. Watt/sec/cm2 at energy of 253.7nm wavelength.

Low power consumption.

Automatic controller to shut off water supply when lamp failure occurs (solenoid valve requirement).

Vertical or horizontal installation.

Unique diagonal inlet/outlet provides spiral current to prolong lighting duration and enhance sterilising effect.

Effectively protects quartz sleeve from the damage or water hammer

Both ports can be inlet or outlet.

Material:

Heavy duty 304 or 316 stainless steel pressure vessel

Heavy duty UV lamps and quartz sleeves using highest grade “hard glass” pure fused quartz to allow highest output.

Ceramic end cap of UV lamp

Technical Data:

9000 hours (1 year) lamp life

Working Pressure 125PSI

120VAC or 240VAC

1. Sediment Removal

Using a sediment filter to remove:

Mud

Scale

Rust

Slime

Hair

Algae etc.

Down to 1 micron in size ( 1 Micron = 1 thousandth of a millimetre )

2. Chemical Removal

Using Carbon

Activated Carbon

Catalytic Absorptive Carbons

To remove:

Chlorine

Chloroform

Chloramines

Insecticides

Pesticides

Sulphates

Sulphites etc.

This option is recommended for town water / chlorinated water.

To purchase a system that offers this sort of filtering then please consider our Twin System or our Triple System.

Giardia and Cryptosporidium removal can be achieved by upgrading to a 0.5 micron carbon block.

3. Removal of Dissolved Solids

Using a Reverse Osmosis Membrane reduces the following water contaminents:

Lead

Copper

Barium

Chromium

Mercury

Sodium

Cadmium

Fluoride

Nitrite

Nitrate

Aluminium

Bacteria

Potassium

Fluoride

Nickel

Silver

Manganese

Ammonium

Chromium

Selenium

Arsenic

Sulphate

Phosphate

Iron

Magnesium

Zinc

Chloride

Silicate

Cyanide

Sulphide

Our Reverse Osmosis System combines the previous 3 methods to remove all contaminents mentioned so far.

4. Ultra Violet Sterilisation

Ultraviolet or UV Sterilisation is typically used in situations where your water supply is Tank, Dam or Bore Water. Can be used with chlorinated water as well.

It achieves 99.99% removal of bacteria, viruses, algae ie. Hepatitis, E Coli, Cholera & Legionnaires Disease.

For UV filtering we recommend our UV Twin or UV Triple systems which combine sediment and carbon filters with a UV filter.
